Scars Tissue, Healing and Hidden Chronic Disfunction

Scar tissue is a type of skin construction that is  signalled when there's been an emergency - any breaking of the skin  or division of tissue needs to be closed and FAST.

So scar tissue doesn't function as normal healthy skin does, which effects all of the surrounding tissue. And it's not just the local area of the scar - this impact can happen anywhere in the body, and through many different systems in the body (muscular, neurological, visceral).

90% of scar pain and chronic post surgical pain is distal to the scar itself.

Reflection: Consider if after a surgery or injury if a new pain has arrived and has been difficult to resolve.

Scars lack skin elasticity

Scar tissue has parallel layers of tissue rather than the multi-directional quality of normal skin and reduces normal skin  stretch.

Scars restrict range of motion

Scar tissue's lack of normal stretch then limits the surrounding joint range of motion due to the irregular tension held in the scar.

Scars reduce function

Scars penetrate all layers of the skin impeding  general circulation of the tissue, create nerve pain by entrapment and increase muscular trigger points and pain.

Take the missing step into Scar Tissue Care and free your inner vitality

The benefits of scar tissue rehabilitation are both immediate and have the potential to help reduce the development of chronic issues that scar tissue can develop over time.

How scar tissue care can help

Reduces Pain

Studies show a reduction of  pain after 1 session up to 67%.

De-stresses the nervous system

Scar tissue has a positive polarity and stimulates the autonomic nervous system (increases stress). Microcurrent stimulation restores the normal polarity of healthy skin to the scar tissue and reduces stress load to the nervous system.

Regulates the Gut Microbiome

Scar tissue increases systemic inflammation which can disrupt the microbiome in the gut. Reducing the  continuous inflammation signals supports systemic regulation through the entire body's physiology.

Reduces Abdominal Adhesions

Internal adhesions form after 100% of abdominal surgeries.  Those adhesions can impact nerves, muscles, organs and fascia with prolonged inflammation and impairment of function. Releasing internal adhesions can shift systemic disfunctionand stubborn muscular tension patterns that limit movement.

Restore circulation

Scars limit overall circulation, which impacts our overall health longterm. Regulating scar tissue can support  fluid circulation and reduce neuropathies stemmning from stagnation.

Reduces Scar Thicknes

Microcurrent stimulation reduces the tactile thickness of scars in each session.
